We are a husband and wife research team: JR (aka A.D.) and Bonnie; native Minnesotans with a lifelong passion for family history. As children, we lived with immigrant grandmothers from Scandinavia and were intrigued by who they were and why they came to America in the late 1880's. JR retired after a career as a Navy pilot and was a math instructor at Sylvan. Bonnie is a retired RN/Hospital Administrator, Volunteer Coordinator, and Navy Wife.  We are parents of a son and doting grandparents of a little girl.  Since the formation of Team Johnson in  May 1983 at a church in Milaca, MN,  we have combined our interests and talents in systematically researching our roots; documenting our discoveries; and passing on what we have learned.   Our travels have taken us  to many locations in the US, as well as  in Norway, Sweden, England, France, and Germany. We love a research challenge.  Each door we open is a step closer to solving family mysteries.   We can be seen in Mebane, N.C.  when we aren't on the road opening more doors.
